After introducing the Poco F7 series earlier this year, it seems Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is gearing up to unveil its successor, the Poco F8 series, soon. Previously, the key specifications of the Poco F7 Ultra were surfaced online, suggesting that it might offer significant upgrades in terms of battery and chipset. Now, the rumoured Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro have been spotted on various certification websites, hinting that a global launch will happen soon.
Poco F8 Ultra, Poco F8 Pro: Expected launch timeline, specifications
According to a report by GSMArena, the Poco F8 Ultra was recently spotted on Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification website. The NBTC listing of the Ultra variant confirms support for 5G connectivity. Moreover, on the same listing website, the Poco F8 Pro was also spotted, suggesting that both handsets could simultaneously see a global launch soon, similar to the Poco F7 Ultra and F7 Pro, which were launched in March this year.
The NBTC listing also suggests the Poco F8 Ultra could be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K90 Pro or K90 Pro Max, which came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Previously, X tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) had mentioned that the Poco F8 Ultra will pack a 7,000mAh battery, which would be a significant upgrade over its predecessor's 5,300mAh battery.
Moreover, the handset could house a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 50MP primary shooter alongside a 50MP ultrawide-angle lens and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The phone is also tipped to include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP69-rated dust and water-resistant design.
