Philips has introduced three new electric shavers in India—Series 7000, i9000, and i9000 Prestige Ultra—as part of its premium grooming lineup. The launch event in New Delhi featured Vidyut Kaul, Head of Personal Health for the growth region at Philips, and tech reviewer Rajiv Makhni. The new shavers come equipped with the company’s AI-powered SkinIQ technology, designed to adapt to different skin and beard types for a more precise, comfortable, and irritation-free shave.

Price and availability
The Philips Series 7000 (model S7887) is priced at Rs 14,999, the Philips i9000 at Rs 19,999, and the Philips i9000 Prestige Ultra at Rs 34,999. While the first two models are available for immediate purchase, the Prestige Ultra variant is currently open for pre-booking. Consumers can buy the products through Philips’ official website (www.shop.philips.co.in), Amazon.in, and select retail outlets such as Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. All models come with a five-year warranty.

Specifications
The Philips i9000 and i9000 Prestige Ultra feature a patented Triple Action Lift & Cut system, designed to lift and cut hair at skin level for a closer shave. The i9000 Prestige Ultra is powered by NanoTech Dual Precision Blades, capable of up to 8 million cutting motions per minute. Both models are equipped with a Power Adapt Sensor that reads hair density 500 times per second, adjusting cutting performance accordingly. Additional features include Hydro SkinGlide Coating to reduce friction, a 360° Precision Flexing Head for better contact, and real-time insights via a connected app (Prestige Ultra only).

The Series 7000 includes SteelPrecision Blades performing 90,000 cutting actions per minute. It also includes a Power Adapt Sensor, Motion Control Sensor, Nano SkinGlide Coating, and 360° Flexing Heads for comfort and efficiency.

Philips says the launch reflects a growing trend among Indian consumers to move from manual razors to electric grooming solutions, aiming to offer precision, adaptability, and comfort through AI-driven innovation.
