Oppo Find N5, the successor to the Oppo Find N3, is set to be unveiled in the third week of the month. Oppo has yet to reveal an exact date for its launch event. However, the company’s Head of Find series Zhou Yibao took to Weibo and confirmed that the upcoming foldable is set to debut in two weeks. Many details about this phone have also been leaked previously, and smartphone enthusiasts are excited to see what Oppo will offer this time.
Oppo Find N5 scheduled to launch in China in the third week of February
Through a new Weibo post, Oppo has confirmed that the Find N5 will debut globally at the same time as its China launch in just two weeks. This will be the first time the company will release a foldable smartphone simultaneously across multiple markets. Moreover, a later release as the OnePlus Open 2 is also possible, especially in markets like the U.S. and India.
The Find N5 is also said to be IPx9 water-resistant, meaning it will be able to handle high-pressure water sprays. Rumour also has it that the phone has a 6.85-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution. It is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. However, with such a big battery, the Find N5 is tipped to be the thinnest foldable phone in the world.
A previous leak did suggest that it could measure less than 4.4mm in folded state and 9.4mm in opened, which is even thinner than the current thinnest foldable, Honor Magic V3. Through the same Weibo post, the Oppo Find series product manager also confirmed that the Find N5 will be barely thicker than a USB-C port.
