Oppo is gearing up to introduce the F29 series, the successor to last year's F27 lineup, in India and other global markets soon. The handset was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Bluetooth SIG certification websites with the model number CPH2705. This time, the Pro variant is making a return after being skipped in the F27 series, and a new leak has tipped most of the features of the smartphone.
Oppo F29 Pro: Expected specifications and features
As per X tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G will come with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the screen will have an embedded fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the F29 Pro 5G will reportedly be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Further, it will be coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of battery, the F29 Pro is tipped to be backed by a large 6,000mAh battery unit with support for 80W charging. This is a significant upgrade from 5000mAh with 45W charging on the F27 Pro+. The device is expected to ship with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. Further, on the optics front, the OPPO F29 Pro is likely to have a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor along with a 2MP secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone will sport a 16MP front snapper.
Notably, the leaked specifications of the F29 Pro are similar to the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, which was unveiled in China in December 2024. It has a starting price of CNY 1,999 (around Rs 23,300) for the 8GB + 256GB option, and the F29 Pro could be a rebadged Oppo A5 Pro in global markets.
