OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 15, and with it comes OxygenOS 16 — a major update that doubles down on artificial intelligence. In a teaser shared by OnePlus India, the company confirmed that Google’s Gemini assistant will integrate directly with Mind Space, a built-in app that stores screenshots, notes, events, and other user data.
The integration means Gemini will be able to complete tasks or answer questions based on what’s saved in Mind Space. For example, in OnePlus’s demo image, a user asks Gemini to “plan a five-day trip to Paris,” and the AI uses existing notes and saved items to create a personalised itinerary.
Mind Space already uses OnePlus’s own AI to organise information with tags and keywords, but this collaboration could make it a far more powerful tool — especially for users who rely on Gemini for planning and multitasking.
According to the company, the feature will roll out “soon” for flagship devices running OxygenOS 16, likely starting with the OnePlus 15 and later extending to older models such as the OnePlus 13.
With this move, OnePlus joins the growing club of Android makers pushing richer AI integrations — leaving Apple’s limited “Apple Intelligence” features on the iPhone 16 and 17 looking rather conservative by comparison. In 2025, the real smartness war might just come down to how well your AI knows you.
