OnePlus has taken the wraps off the OnePlus Pad 3, its latest flagship tablet. Packed with powerful hardware, a striking design, and AI-driven software tools, the new tablet builds on the success of the Pad and Pad 2, but pushes things further with a mix of productivity features and entertainment chops. The tablet goes on sale globally starting June 5 in markets like Europe and North America, while the India launch will follow soon, the company says availability details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Price and availabilityThe OnePlus Pad 3 comes in two sleek colour options including Storm Blue and Frosted Silver and features a super slim all-metal unibody design that’s under 6mm thick. It feels premium and is engineered to be strong and bend-resistant. The rear camera has been redesigned to stand out visually, while the tablet now houses eight symmetrical speakers, four woofers and four tweeters, to offer a fully immersive sound experience whether you're streaming or gaming.
Key features and specificationsAt the front is OnePlus’s best tablet display yet — a large 13.2-inch panel with a crisp 3.4K resolution, 12-bit colour depth, and a pixel density of 315 PPI. With a 7:5 aspect ratio, the display is built for easy multitasking, whether you’re browsing, editing, or presenting. From watching movies to working on documents, the screen is designed to adapt seamlessly.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There's also a variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The tablet includes a new vapor chamber cooling system made of a graphene composite material. Battery life is another highlight — the 12,140mAh battery can handle 6 hours of AAA gaming, more than 17 hours of video playback, and a standby time of up to 70 days, as per the company. The 80W SUPERVOOC claims to give a quick top up in just 10 minutes of charge and adds around 18% battery.
The OnePlus Pad 3 runs OxygenOS 15, which includes AI-powered tools like AI Writer and AI Summarize to help with writing, translating, and document editing. Google’s AI tools like Gemini and Circle to Search are also integrated, adding even more functionality. Open Canvas has been upgraded to offer smoother drag-and-drop across apps and a smarter split-screen workflow, the tablet can now even suggest splitting the screen when it detects you juggling between messaging and maps.
Accessories are also getting a major update. The new OnePlus Pad keyboard brings larger, PC-like keycaps, added command keys, and a dedicated AI button, all with a lighter body and an adjustable hinge that works between 110 and 165 degrees. The OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus now supports 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity. A simple swipe from the top-right corner can annotate the screen, and tapping the screen when it’s off brings up a notes page instantly.
Apart from that there is a redesigned tri-fold folio case, offering multiple stable angles — from a low 20-degree incline perfect for writing, to higher 44-, 60-, and 72-degree angles for viewing and reading. The case shuts the tablet off automatically when closed, and now includes a magnetic buckle to securely hold the stylus in place.
With its mix of smart software, high-end hardware, and thoughtful design updates, the OnePlus Pad 3 is looking to set a new benchmark for Android tablets this year. Indian users eager to get their hands on it will need to wait a bit longer, with local launch details expected soon.
