OnePlus is expected to launch a new phone soon. The phone is being touted as the OnePlus 13 mini, which will be an addition to the existing OnePlus 13 series. Notably, it is the first time ever that OnePlus will launch a phone with “mini” moniker. The OnePlus 13 mini is expected to debut in March. However, it is not clear whether OnePlus will launch the phone outside the Chinese market.
Previously a leak hinted that the phone will feature a triple-camera setup, but fresh reports suggest a dual-camera system instead. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 Mini may feature a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom. This means the phone wil probaly not come with an ultra-wide-angle camera.
The report also claims that the cameras could be arranged vertically in a bar-shaped module. OnePlus has already teased a design shift for its upcoming devices, and the 13 Mini may be the first to get this new look.
The phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same processor used in the flagship OnePlus 13. It may sport a 6.3-inch display and an optical fingerprint scanner instead of an ultrasonic one. The device is likely to feature a glass back and a metal frame, giving it a premium feel.
