UK-based smartphone firm Nothing is expected to launch three new smartphones this year, which are expected to arrive as the successors of the Nothing Phone 2 series. The brand is known for its unique design language, as all of its previous smartphones have had a unique glyph interface with glowing LED lights at the back. Now, Nothing has started teasing its new product launches for this year.
Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Plus receive BIS certifications
Two new Nothing smartphones with the model numbers AO59 and AO59P have been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website. These models are speculated to belong to the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus. These model numbers have not yet been confirmed, but the listing hints at the imminent launch of these smartphones in India.
Previously, these model numbers were also spotted on the IMEI database. These are believed to correspond to the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Plus because they follow a similar naming pattern to their predecessors, Phone 2a and Phone 2a Plus.
Nothing Phone 3: Expected specifications
Nothing has also shared an image of the Pokemon Arcanine on social media platform X, which could be a teaser for the Nothing Phone 3. Traditionally, Nothing has used the names of Pokemon as internal codenames for its phones and this dot matrix image confirms a new Nothing product is launching soon.
A leaked email from Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, also had details about another smartphone launch this year, and this could be the Nothing Phone 3. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and could have a 6.5-inch screen. It is also expected to have multiple AI-based features with improved glyph lighting support.
