Nothing has launched Ear (3), the next-generation True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, combining advanced noise cancellation, improved sound, and a redesigned metallic transparent look. The new earbuds aim to deliver clear calls, rich audio, and a premium design experience.
Super Mic and Noise Cancellation
Ear (3) introduces the Super Mic, housed in the charging case. The dual-microphone system uses ambient-filtering technology to capture your voice clearly while suppressing surrounding noise up to 95 dB. Users can activate the Super Mic with the TALK button for calls or instant voice notes that sync to Essential Space and are automatically transcribed (requires Nothing OS).
Each earbud features three directional microphones and a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU), which detects micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal to enhance voice clarity. Combined with multi-channel AI environmental noise cancellation and Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation up to 45 dB, Ear (3) continuously adjusts for fit and environmental changes.
Sound
Ear (3) uses a 12mm dynamic driver with a patterned diaphragm, offering a 20% larger radiating area. This improves bass by 4–6 dB and treble by up to 4 dB compared to Ear (2), delivering a wider soundstage, cleaner highs, and rich mids.
The earbuds feature Nothing’s transparent aesthetic with metal accents. The charging case is crafted from 100% recycled aluminium, combining metal and plastic through nano-injection moulding. A thin MIM antenna improves connection stability. The buds and case are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance.
Ear (3) offers 10 hours of playback per charge, extendable to 38 hours with the case. A 10-minute USB-C charge gives up to 10 hours of playback. Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC ensures stable audio, while low-latency mode reduces delay for gaming and video. Customization is available through the Nothing X app.
