Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has a confirmed release date. It will launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) on October 30, 2025, developer Digital Eclipse announced. The physical edition of the Legacy Kollection will launch on December 12, 2025.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collection supports online play. As per Digital Eclipse and Atari, online battles in the games have been enhanced by “rollback netcode—engineered to preserve the precision of every attack, even with players across vast distances.” Mortal Kombat players can also “unlock all secret characters, change game settings, and access the buried developer menus” at the touch of a button to play the games their way.

Published by Atari, The Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection includes the following classic Mortal Kombat games of the 90s and the early 2000s:

  • Mortal Kombat – 1992 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)
  • Mortal Kombat II – 1993 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X)
  • Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis)
  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, WaveNet Arcade, SNES)
  • Mortal Kombat Trilogy – 1996 (PlayStation)
  • Mortal Kombat 4 – 1997 (Arcade)
  • Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero – 1997 (PlayStation)
  • Mortal Kombat Special Forces – 2000 (PlayStation)
  • Mortal Kombat Advance – 2001 (Game Boy Advance)
  • Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002 (Game Boy Advance)
  • Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003 (Game Boy Advance)

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will also allow players to learn about the Mortal Kombat lore in depth, and includes the “timeline of the original series’ storyline and comprehensive character histories that offer stories, secrets, and glimpses behind the scenes at their creation”, the developer said. The Legacy Kollection also includes behind-the-scenes content and exclusive new interviews with original Mortal Kombat developers Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Forden, John Vogel, and more.
