Microsoft has launched the new Surface Pro 12-inch Copilot+ PCs in India, opening preorders ahead of general availability on October 6, 2025. The devices mark the next generation of Surface innovation, combining AI acceleration, portability, and performance in a lightweight 2-in-1 design.

Price in India

The Surface Pro 12-inch starts at Rs 90,999 for the 256GB model and Rs 99,999 for the 512GB model. Both variants come with 16GB RAM and are available in Platinum colour. Preorders are open through Amazon, Vijay Sales, and Croma until October 5, 2025. Consumers who preorder will receive a complimentary Surface Pro 12-inch Keyboard worth Rs 15,199, subject to availability.

Features

The Surface Pro 12-inch is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor with a built-in 45 TOPS NPU, enabling AI-powered workloads and next-generation Copilot+ features. It weighs just 680 grams, maintaining portability without compromising performance.

Battery life is rated at up to 16 hours of video playback, ensuring all-day productivity for students, professionals, and creators. The device continues Microsoft’s signature 2-in-1 design with a built-in kickstand, detachable keyboard, and Surface Slim Pen support. The redesigned keyboard adds a dedicated Copilot key, a backlit layout, and a precision touchpad, while folding flat for writing or sketching.

On sustainability, the Surface Pro 12-inch incorporates 82.9% recycled content in its enclosure and 100% recycled cobalt in its battery, with serviceable components to reduce e-waste.

AI-powered experiences

As part of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC lineup, the Surface Pro 12-inch introduces several AI-first features:
• Recall (preview): retrace activity across apps, websites, and files.
• Click to Do (preview): take action on text and images directly on screen.
• Agent in Settings: describe issues and receive actionable recommendations.
• Photos Relight: enhance images with professional-grade lighting effects.

Some of these features will first be available to Windows Insiders before rolling out more widely.
