As Diwali draws closer on October 20, 2025, India’s leading online retailers have kicked off aggressive festive sales, and one of the biggest highlights is Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro. Despite the iPhone 17 series arriving in September, the 16 Pro continues to be a highly sought-after flagship, especially among buyers looking for premium design, reliable performance, and a slightly lower price tag compared to Apple’s newest models.

The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology, delivering a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for smoother animations and sharper visuals. Its titanium frame, combined with a textured matte glass back, gives it both elegance and durability. Powered by the A18 Pro chip and running iOS 18, it continues to deliver top-tier performance and software stability. For those entering the Apple ecosystem or upgrading from an older iPhone or Android device, this festive period is a rare opportunity to secure a premium device at a reduced cost.

Among all major online retailers, Flipkart is currently leading with the biggest markdown on the 256GB variant of the iPhone 16 Pro. Listed at Rs 1,04,999, down from Rs 1,19,900, Flipkart also provides an additional Rs 4,000 discount for Axis Bank credit card users and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 61,900 depending on the trade-in value of your existing phone.

Croma, on the other hand, has priced the same 256GB variant at Rs 1,13,490. While the discount isn’t as steep as Flipkart’s, the platform is preferred by buyers who want a dependable retail experience with offline pickup options. Vijay Sales offers the device for Rs 1,14,900 and includes an instant Rs 5,000 discount for ICICI Bank credit card transactions made without EMI, making it another strong option for deal hunters.

Reliance Digital lists the 256GB variant at Rs 1,19,900, sticking close to Apple’s official pricing. However, customers may find value through limited-time cashback or bundled accessory offers. Interestingly, BigBasket — traditionally a grocery delivery platform — has entered the mix with an unexpected offering. It lists the 128GB iPhone 16 Pro for Rs.99,990, making it the most affordable entry point into Apple’s premium smartphone lineup this Diwali.

With multiple discounts and exchange bonuses in play, now is an ideal time for tech enthusiasts to make the upgrade. Even though the iPhone 17 Pro has arrived, the 16 Pro remains one of the most well-balanced flagships on the market, blending long-term software support, outstanding display quality, and refined craftsmanship. For many users, the savings during Diwali 2025 might just be the nudge needed to switch to Apple’s ecosystem.
