HTC, a prominent name in the smartphone market a few years ago is now making a comeback as the company has confirmed to launch a new phone on June 12. The announcement was made on the popular social media platform X. Along with the launch date, the post also shows the side profile of the upcoming phone revealing the power button, volume rockers, and camera module.

HTC also added another post on Facebook and stated that they will announce 8 am local time on June 12. The teaser post says “Can't wait to finally say it,” and further states  “The new HTC 2024 is coming soon, please lock in htc.com,” suggesting the upcoming smartphone could be available for preorders soon.

Previously, HTC released the HTC U23 Pro in Europe last year. However, it was a limited release and was only available in some European countries and Taiwan. However, the upcoming smartphone to be launched by HTC next week could be the HTC U24 Pro, which should have a wider release.

The HTC U24 Pro recently surfaced on Geekbench listing, which confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and running on Android 14. The phone was also leaked on the Google Play Console database revealing that it would have a Full HD+ display.

We can further expect the U24 Pro to have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance in the U24 series, similar to the U23 Pro.
