Now that ChatGPT Shopping research feature is live for all users, it is much easier for you to find deals and discounts on products that you want to purchase. While there are several other features that are a part of the new Shopping feature, most people will appriciate its deal finding capabilities after all ChatGPT’s Shopping feature is designed to simplify product discovery, especially during busy sale periods like Black Friday. Instead of browsing multiple websites and comparing prices manually, you can describe what you want, and ChatGPT generates a curated, research-backed guide that highlights the best deals, discounts, and alternatives. The feature is available for logged-in users on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans across web and mobile.
How to use ChatGPT Shopping to find Black Friday deals
To access the feature, users can start in two ways:
1. Ask a shopping question
Simply type a query mentioning the product and Black Friday deals—for example, “Show me the best Black Friday laptop discounts under Rs 60,000.” ChatGPT will prompt you to open the Shopping tool.
2. Select it from the tools menu
On mobile and web, tap the (+) menu and choose Shopping research to begin.
For example: You want to buy a new iPhone -- iPhone 17 and here's how ChatGPT Shopping feature worked.
All you have to do is select the Shopping Research feature from the '+' icon. Then ask the query " Help me find a good deal on iPhonem 17".
ChatGPT will take a while and curate some questions around your query -- like Storage capacity, colours, etc and then it also prompts cards with some deals and if you like the deal -- swipe right or swipe left if you don't like it.
Once you are through all the cards, ChatGPT will generate the final response for you with the deal deals available for iPhone 17.
The same applies for other products. It is just the cards and questions will change according to the product. Moreover, you have the option to invite friends and shop together.
