• A registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
• An active DigiLocker account (if not, it can be created on the DigiLocker website or app).
• The official MyGov Helpdesk WhatsApp number: +91-9013151515 saved on your phone.
Step-by-step guide to download Aadhaar using WhatsApp1. Save +91-9013151515 as “MyGov Helpdesk” in your contacts.
2. Open WhatsApp and start a chat with this contact.
3. Type “Namaste” or “Hi” to begin.
4. Select “DigiLocker Services” when prompted.
5. Confirm whether you already have a DigiLocker account. If not, create one before proceeding.
6. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number for authentication.
7. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number; enter it in the chat.
8. Once verified, the chatbot will display the list of documents available in your DigiLocker.
9. Choose Aadhaar from the list by typing the corresponding number.
10. Your Aadhaar card will be delivered in PDF format in the WhatsApp chat.
Only one document can be downloaded at a time, and only those already issued in DigiLocker will be available. If your Aadhaar or other documents are not linked, you can update them on the DigiLocker website or app, after which they can also be accessed on WhatsApp.
