Check the airline’s cancellation policy
Start by visiting your airline’s website and reading the cancellation rules for your ticket. Some fares are refundable, while others charge a fee or only allow travel credits. Knowing what applies to your booking helps you understand how much money you will get back before you proceed.

Log in and open your booking
Sign in to your airline account using your email or phone number. Go to the “My Trips” or “Manage Booking” section and select the flight you want to cancel. Make sure the passenger details and travel dates match your ticket to avoid confusion during the cancellation process.

Choose the cancel option
Once your booking is open, look for a button that says “Cancel Flight” or “Cancel Booking.” Click it to view the exact refund or credit amount you will receive. Airlines usually show this before you confirm, so you can decide whether you still want to cancel.

Confirm your cancellation request
After reviewing the refund details, confirm the cancellation by clicking the final approval button. Some airlines may ask for an OTP or verification step. Once done, you will receive an email or SMS confirming your cancellation. Keep this message safe in case you need it later.

Track your refund or travel credit
Refunds can take a few days to several weeks depending on your payment method. If the airline gives you travel credit instead, note the expiry date. Check your email for updates or visit the “My Wallet” section on the airline website to make sure the amount has been processed correctly.
