Google is expected to launch its next Pixel smartphone is coming weeks. Ahead of the official announcement, several details about the phone has leaked online revealing key features and details about the phone. This includes high-resolution renders, specifications and expected pricing of the phone. Here’s everything that we know so far.
Pixel 9a design and display
The Pixel 9a is expected to introduce a new design language, departing from the signature camera visor seen in previous models. Instead, it will feature a dual-camera setup housed in a pill-shaped module positioned slightly to the left. The back panel maintains a clean look with the Google logo placed centrally.
On the front, the smartphone is likely to retain a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera within a symmetrical bezel display. The renders suggest that the volume and power buttons will be located on the right side. The device is expected to come in four colour options: Obsidian (black), Peony (pink), Porcelain (gold), and Iris (blue).
Reports suggest that the Pixel 9a will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset—the same processor expected in the Pixel 9 series. It may feature a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is expected to include 8GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB.
For durability, the Pixel 9a is rumoured to come with an IP68 rating, providing resistance to dust and water. The device will likely run Android 15 out of the box, ensuring the latest software experience for users.
The dual-camera system is tipped to include a 48MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. The front camera is expected to remain embedded in the display.
Battery capacity is speculated to be 5,100mAh, with 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging support.
Expected pricing and availability
Leaks suggest that pre-orders for the Pixel 9a may begin on March 19, with sales starting on March 26. The base 128GB variant is expected to be priced at Rs 42,000 in India.
