Google unveiled its flagship Pixel 9 lineup in August last year, and the tech giant is now gearing up to launch its next budget offering, the Pixel 9a, in the coming months. However, instead of the company’s usual timeline, the Pixel 9a is now scheduled to launch earlier than expected. Now, a new report has revealed the pricing details and expected specifications of the smartphone.
Google Pixel 9a: Expected release date and price
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Pixel 9a will start in the US at $499 (around Rs 43,200) for the base 128GB storage option. Meanwhile, the 256GB storage will cost $599 (around Rs 52,000). For those opting for Verizon’s mmWave model, an additional $50 will be added to the aforementioned prices.
Further, the report adds that Google will start pre-orders for Pixel 9a on March 19. The phone will reportedly ship a week later, on March 26. It is said to be available in offline and online stores on the same date, and we can expect an Indian launch at the same date as well.
Google Pixel 9a: Expected specifications, features
The Pixel 9a is expected to run on Google’s Tensor G4 processor, which is currently powering the Pixel 9 series as well. Moreover,iIt’s expected to include 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, offering smooth multitasking performance, and a Titan M2 security chip for added protection. In terms of photography, the Pixel 9a might feature a dual-camera setup, which is likely to have a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor.
Further, the phone might also sport a 5100 mAh battery with 23W wired charging support and 7.5W for wireless support. It could also come with IP68 for improved water resistance and dust resistance support.
