Google I/O 2024 is set to kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14, in Mountain View, California. The event will feature a keynote address that will be live-streamed, allowing viewers to tune in remotely from their homes.
As for what to expect at Google I/O 2024, the event traditionally showcases exciting new developments from Google across various areas such as Android, Chrome, Google Assistant, AI, and more. Attendees and virtual viewers can anticipate announcements about software updates, new features, and potentially new hardware products.
Google I/O 2024: When and how to watch the live stream
Google will livestream the keynote and other key sessions of I/O 2024 on its official YouTube channel. The keynote session by Sundar Pichai is scheduled to begin at 10 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM India Time). You can access the livestream through the following link on YouTube:

Google's annual developer event is traditionally about software updates but this year we do expect to see a lot of AI-focused announcements. Google has been integrating AI across its products and services and is likely to showcase its latest advancements. We can expect a lot more about Gemini AI. Don't expect any major hardware launches as Google unveiled the Pixel 8a last week. Traditionally, it is the Pixel A-series which debuts at I/O but since that has happened already, it is unlikely Google showcases any hardware.
Interestingly, OpenAI -- the company behind ChatGPT -- is hosting an event just day before Google I/O. Apple and Microsoft have also scheduled their developer conferences in the next few weeks.
