Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is over: Everything that Samsung announced at the event
Samsung hosted its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on July 9 in New York, where it unveiled a fresh wave of foldables, smartwatches, and a long-awaited Fan Edition device. Here are six key announcements from the event.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 with bigger screen and Ultra-class experience
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 introduces an 8.2-inch AMOLED inner display and a 6.5-inch AMOLED cover screen, both with 120Hz refresh rates. Samsung is calling this its first foldable to offer an “Ultra” experience. It features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite for Galaxy processor, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging. A triple rear camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lens. It runs on One UI 8 based on Android 16.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 with larger cover screen and IP48 rating
The clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 7 now has a 4.1-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch inner AMOLED screen, both running at 120Hz. It retains the 50MP + 12MP dual camera system and adds a 4,300mAh battery. It also brings IP48 dust and water resistance and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The base model now starts with 256GB of storage, doubling the previous generation’s entry-level capacity.

Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic with new squircle design - Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic with a refreshed squircle chassis while maintaining a circular AMOLED display. The Watch 8 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Classic model is offered in a 46mm size and boosts storage to 64GB. Both watches run Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 and feature Samsung’s new 3nm Exynos W1000 processor.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip FE, its first Fan Edition foldable. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen inside and a 3.4-inch sAMOLED cover screen. Powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, it includes 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It retains the same 50MP + 12MP dual camera setup as the Flip 7 and runs One UI 8 with Android 16.
