Square Enix has announced a PS5-exclusive physical edition pack for two Final Fantasy games: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Both the RPGs are included in a three Blu-Ray disc set. The Twin Pack Physical Edition will launch for PS5 with select retailers on December 4 and can be pre-ordered now.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the first game in the remake trilogy, and is set in the city of Midgar, which is built on the energy produced by "mako"—the life force of the planet. Mako is processed and turned into energy by the Shinra Electric Power Company.
The story of the remake trilogy’s first game begins when mercenary Cloud Strife joins the anti-Shinra resistance group Avalanche. Cloud has to destroy one of the mako-siphoning reactors of Shinra Electric Power Company. What he thought was a single mission turns into something far more tangled.
The special thing about the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade & Rebirth Twin Pack Physical Edition is the inclusion of the FF7R EPISODE INTERmission into the main Final Fantasy VII Remake story of the Intergrade edition.
“This two chapter tale takes place concurrently with the main campaign and stars fan-favorite ninja Yuffie Kisaragi. With a new character to control, new parts of Midgar to explore and the endlessly entertaining Fort Condor minigame, it’s an essential play before you head into the next game in this pack,” Square Enix said in a website post.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second game in the remake trilogy. In this game's story, Cloud and his comrades leave the city of Midgar in pursuit of their enemy Sephiroth in a globe-trotting chase. The game adds new playable members to the team. You can gain control of Red XIII, Yuffie and Cait Sith; each member has their distinctive playstyles and special abilities.
