Elon Musk is starting a new company called Macrohard, and he wants people to join his team. This new company will focus on AI software and aims to compete with Microsoft.
The name Macrohard is a playful twist on Microsoft, but Musk is serious about the idea. He says that while car and rocket companies need big factories, a software company can be built mostly with AI. His plan is to create software that is run by smart AI agents working together.
On X (formerly Twitter), xAI cofounder Yuhuai Wu said they are building a team to work on “computer control agents.” These will be used in Macrohard and also in Grok 5, which is the next version of Musk’s chatbot. Wu also said they hope to achieve big results by the end of this year.
Musk shared the job post too and wrote, “Help build Macrohard, the AI software company!”
Going against Microsoft will be tough. Microsoft already earns billions from its products like Windows and Office, and it has invested heavily in AI through its partnership with OpenAI. Macrohard is still at the starting stage.
But Musk has a history of surprising the world. From electric cars with Tesla to rockets with SpaceX, he has often changed industries. Now he wants to do the same with AI software. If Macrohard grows as planned, it could change how companies are built and run with AI in the future.
