ElevenLabs launches royalty-free AI music platform with “industry backing”

ElevenLabs has launched Eleven Music, a royalty-free AI music generation tool developed in collaboration with industry leaders like Merlin and Kobalt.

ElevenLabs has launched Eleven Music, a new AI-powered music generation tool aimed at creators, businesses, and artists. Built in collaboration with music industry stakeholders, the platform allows users to create high-quality, royalty-free music using simple text prompts.

Available now via the ElevenLabs website, Eleven Music supports multiple languages, genres, and vocal options. Tracks generated on the platform are cleared for broad commercial use, with safeguards in place to protect music rights holders.

“Expanding into music was the obvious next step for us,” said Mati Staniszewski, CEO and co-founder of ElevenLabs. “There’s been strong demand from enterprise and creative users for a tool like this. We took our time to get it right — and we’re proud to have built it in collaboration with industry partners who see the potential of AI in music.”

As part of its launch, ElevenLabs has partnered with Merlin and Kobalt to shape the development of Eleven Music Pro, an upcoming version of the model. Merlin represents many of the world’s leading independent music labels and distributors, while Kobalt is one of the largest independent music publishers.
