OpenAI has introduced a new subscription plan for ChatGPT users in India called ChatGPT Go, priced at Rs 399 per month. The plan offers access to GPT-5 along with benefits like more messages, additional file uploads, extra image generations, advanced data analysis, and more memory. Users can subscribe directly through Google Play with flexible payment options, including UPI.
ChatGPT Go price and availability
The ChatGPT Go subscription is available for Rs 399 per month, inclusive of taxes. Users subscribing via Google Play also earn Play Points, which can be redeemed for discounts or rewards.
The subscription is currently live in India and can be purchased directly through the ChatGPT mobile app on Android. iOS users are expected to receive availability at a later stage. Also, the UPI payment method is only available when buying the subscription plan using the mobile app.
For desktop or web purchases, the payment mode is limited to credit and debit cards.

How to subscribe to ChatGPT Go with UPI
Users in India can subscribe to ChatGPT Go using UPI payment methods such as GPay and other UPI apps and UPI ID through Google Play. Here are the steps:
1. Open the ChatGPT app on your Android device.
2. Tap on your profile icon (top left) and select Upgrade to Go.
3. You will see the plan details showing Rs 399/month along with included benefits.
4. On the Google Play subscription screen, choose Payment method.
5. Select UPI → then choose GPay as the preferred option.
6. Confirm the subscription by tapping Subscribe.
7. Authenticate the UPI payment using your registered UPI PIN.
Once completed, your subscription will be active immediately, and the fee will be charged monthly until cancelled.
Subscription cancellation
Subscribers can manage or cancel the plan anytime via Google Play subscriptions settings. If cancelled, access will continue until the end of the billing period.
