ChatGPT can provide answers to your questions, explain complex terms and help you write better but now it will even help you remember things better. OpenAI has announced that it is rolling out Tasks on ChatGPT, which will let users set reminders for future tasks.
How will Task work?
Imagine your passport is expiring after 6 months or you have to book train tickets for your mother on a specific day and you want someone to remind you to renew the passport once it expires and book the tickets on the desired date, you can simply ask ChatGPT to do that for you.
You will simply have to write the prompt on the ChatGPT dialogue box, where you usually write your queries, provide the accurate time, day and everything else you want the AI chatbot to remind you about. ChatGPT will then send you notification accordingly.
The other way of setting reminders on ChatGPT is by going to the tasks page under the profile menu.
OpenAI announced the feature on X. The company also revealed that the Tasks feature is currently available in beta version. “Today we’re rolling out a beta version of tasks—a new way to ask ChatGPT to do things for you at a future time.Whether it's one-time reminders or recurring actions, tell ChatGPT what you need and when, and it will automatically take care of it,” the X post
Who can use the Tasks feature on ChatGPT?
As mentioned previously, the Tasks feature is currently available in beta version. It is rolling out today to Plus, Pro, and Teams users in beta. It will be slowly rolled out to the regular users in the coming days.
