Castlevania Dominus Collection arrives on Nintendo Switch

Japanese video game company Konami has launched the three Castlevania Nintendo DS games, plus the remake of the first Castlevania arcade game, to Nintendo Switch as part of the Castlevania Dominus Collection. Konami announced the Castlevania Dominus Collection’s arrival on the modern Nintendo systems at the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase 2024.

The three Castlevania games that make up the Castlevania Dominus Collection are Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. The Castlevania Dominus Collection also includes the 1988 game Haunted Castle Reiminaged, a remake of the first Castlevania arcade game.

Originally launched on the Nintendo DS, the Castlevania Dominus Collection games have been optimised for the modern-day Nintendo Switch. To play the Castlevania Dominus Collection games comfortably on Nintendo Switch, you can customise the dual screens to appear as a single one. The Castlevania Dominus games for Nintendo Switch also get touch control options for the controller input, there’s a rewind and quick save feature, a gallery and a music player.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is set one year after the events that take place in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Soma Cruz returns as the protagonist in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin features two protagonists– Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin– who investigate the mystery behind the reappearance of Dracula’s Castle. You can switch between both heroes during gameplay.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia features Shanoa, the only human capable of using the magical glyphs. The three most powerful glyphs that are believed to defeat even Count Dracula, get stolen. It is up to Shanoa to reacquire them and defeat the vampire lord.

The Castlevania Dominus Collection is available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S and PC (Steam).
