Krafton India has announced a collaboration between Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as part of the upcoming BGMI 4.3 update. The update, which goes live on March 21, will introduce CSK-themed content, in-game collectibles, and a new interactive photo booth feature across select maps.

The announcement was made on March 17, with the company confirming that the collaboration will bring Chennai Super Kings-inspired elements directly into the gameplay experience. Players will be able to access themed items and interact with new features designed around the franchise.

CSK-themed items coming to BGMI

As part of the BGMI 4.3 update, KRAFTON will introduce two Chennai Super Kings-branded items into the game. The first is the Thala Legacy Set, an outfit inspired by the team’s identity and colours.

The second item is the Thala Monster Truck, a vehicle skin that carries Chennai Super Kings branding. These additions will allow players to use CSK-themed visuals during matches across BGMI maps.

KRAFTON said the themed items are designed to allow players to represent the franchise while participating in gameplay sessions.

The BGMI 4.3 update will also introduce a photo booth feature within the game. The interactive booth will appear on maps such as Erangel and Livik, allowing players to capture in-game moments using CSK-themed backgrounds.

Players will be able to take screenshots and share them with themed visual elements connected to the franchise. According to the company, the feature aims to provide an additional interactive layer during gameplay.

The update will also include themed collectibles that players can unlock during the event period.

BGMI expands collaborations with sports franchises

The collaboration with Chennai Super Kings marks another step in BGMI’s strategy of bringing entertainment and sports brands into the game through in-game content.

Cricket continues to remain one of the most followed sports in India, and integrating an IPL franchise into BGMI allows the company to connect gaming audiences with cricket fandom. The update adds franchise-themed cosmetics and features ahead of the upcoming IPL season.

The BGMI 4.3 update featuring Chennai Super Kings-themed items, collectibles, and the photo booth feature will begin rolling out from March 21 for players across India.
