Krafton is yet to publish official patch notes, but consecutive leaks and the game’s release cadence indicate that the next BGMI update is approaching. Version 4.1 is expected to ship with a full seasonal re-skin driven by winter elements, adding new points of interest, mobility tools and event-linked progression systems across classic maps.

Expected release window

BGMI typically receives a substantive patch every two months. With version 4.0 dropping in September, the 4.1 rollout is expected between November 11 and November 16, with November 12 sitting inside the most probable window based on past deployment patterns. Pre-patch events and download prompts are likely to surface in the second week of November across Android and iOS.

Seasonal theme: Frosty Funland

Leaks point to a winter overlay called Frosty Funland. Landmarks such as Penguinville and other snow-built settlements will appear as limited-time destinations with themed loot, ambient weather and traversal changes on frozen ground. The mode is slated to transform staple maps such as Erangel with snow cover, ice patches and timed festive events that alter firefights and visibility.

New tools and systems

Early footage suggests the addition of Magic Ice Skates that allow gliding and jumping on ice surfaces, alongside a four-seater Penguin Snowmobile that can shoot slowing snowballs. A collectible Crests System is also expected, enabling players to earn match-bound tokens for conversion into rewards. Weapon variants such as Salted Fish launchers that generate ice traps and consumables brewed by NPC penguins to offer temporary boosts may be part of the rotational pool for the season.

A new Royale Pass aligned with the winter theme is expected to anchor the progression loop for the patch cycle, bundling mythic cosmetics and event-locked outfits. As with previous seasonal updates, Krafton is likely to stage time-limited quests, map decorations and an opening cinematic to mark the switchover.

With a mid-November window and winter-centric mechanics, 4.1 is poised to refresh core playlists without altering the underlying structure of competitive play.
