Apple’s new Rs 799 AppleCare+ plan explained and what Theft and Loss protection means for iPhone users in India

Apple has expanded its AppleCare+ protection plans in India and has also launched a new option that covers theft and loss of an iPhone. This is the first time Indian customers are getting such complete protection directly from Apple. The company has also introduced monthly and annual payment options, which makes the plans easier to afford.

AppleCare+ is Apple’s official protection plan. It goes beyond the standard one-year warranty and offers support and repairs for accidental damage. Until now, Indian users only had access to regular AppleCare+ plans, which covered things like accidental damage and battery service. With the new update, Apple is offering more flexible plans, including a monthly subscription for people who do not want to pay the full amount at once.

The biggest change is the introduction of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone. This plan starts at Rs 799 per month and covers up to two incidents of theft or loss every year. This means if someone steals your iPhone or if you accidentally lose it, Apple will replace it. This is a major addition because most users in India were relying on third-party insurance for this type of protection.

Apart from theft and loss, the plan also includes everything offered in regular AppleCare+. This includes unlimited accidental damage repairs using genuine Apple parts, priority customer support at any time, and battery replacement when the battery health drops below a certain level. The repairs and replacements are handled either at Apple Stores or at certified Apple Authorized Service Providers, which ensures that the device receives genuine parts and expert service.

Apple has also made it very easy for customers to buy and manage these plans. Users can check eligibility, see all plan options and purchase a subscription directly from the Settings app on their iPhone, iPad or Mac. Coverage begins immediately after the plan is purchased.

These changes show that Apple is finally bringing India in line with international markets where monthly AppleCare+ plans and theft and loss protection have been available for years. For users who want long-term safety for their expensive Apple devices, this update gives them more choice, more flexibility and more peace of mind.

If customers want to learn more about the available options or sign up for a plan, they can visit Apple’s India website or simply go to the Settings app on their device.
