If you’ve been holding off on upgrading your MacBook Air, this might be your moment. Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil new MacBook Air models powered by the M4 chip, possibly as soon as this week.
That’s not all—new iPads are on the horizon too, though they might take a little longer to arrive. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iPad Air and iPad 10 inventory is running low at Apple Stores, which usually hints at fresh models coming soon. But unlike the MacBook Air, the new iPads aren’t expected to land in the next few days. Instead, we’re likely looking at a March or April launch.
So, what’s new? Well, don’t expect a dramatic redesign. Apple seems to be focusing on internal upgrades this time. The next iPad Air is expected to pack either an M3 or M4 chip, while the iPad 11 could feature an A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip. That means better performance, but not necessarily a whole new look.
As for the iPad Pro? Apple appears to be holding off until its M5 chip is ready, so fans of the high-end tablet might have to wait a bit longer. And if you were eyeing an iPad mini refresh, that’s unlikely—it was just updated a few months ago.
In short, Apple is keeping the excitement rolling with new MacBooks and iPads on the way, but if you were hoping for a big iPad shake-up, you might have to wait a little longer.
