Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 series may launch without a price increase, according to recent analyst reports. The information comes as attention shifts to Apple’s next flagship models expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
Industry analysts suggest Apple could keep the pricing of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max close to the current generation. If the reports hold true, the new models may start at the same price as the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.
Price expectations
The iPhone 17 Pro currently starts at $1,099 while the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199. Analysts now believe Apple may retain this pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro models.
TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple may choose not to pass rising component costs to consumers. According to the report, Apple may absorb the cost increases in memory and chip components as part of its strategy to maintain market share.
Another analyst, Jeff Pu of GF Securities, also suggested that Apple is working on cost management measures to avoid increasing prices. The company is reportedly negotiating with suppliers such as Samsung and SK Hynix to secure favourable memory chip deals.
Component costs and market factors
Memory components such as DRAM and NAND have seen price increases due to demand from companies building AI infrastructure. These cost increases have affected several consumer electronics categories.
Despite these pressures, Apple may keep pricing stable for the upcoming Pro models to support sales volume and maintain its ecosystem growth. Analysts believe the strategy may also help Apple expand its services business.
Other possible launches
Reports also suggest Apple may introduce a foldable iPhone in the future. Early estimates indicate that a folding model could start at around $1,999 depending on storage options. For now, the focus remains on the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, which is expected to launch later in 2026 with pricing similar to the current generation.
