The Apple iPhone 16 series is just a few weeks away now and many credible leaks and rumours are getting us more clarity on the likely specs and the features. While the base iPhone 16 variants are expected to get a revamped design and display upgrades, the high-end Pro models are also expected to pack improvements in key areas such as battery capacity and charging speeds.
In a new leak by Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital (translated from Chinese) both iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to get upgrades when it comes to battery capacity. While the iPhone 16 Pro is listed to feature a 3,577mAh battery, the top-end iPhone 16 Pro Max may have a 4,676mAh battery.
This means that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 9% bigger battery, while the bigger iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery will have 5% more capacity. It’s important to note that these are preliminary figures based on leaks, and the actual battery capacities may vary.
Another report by ITHome, suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro may also get faster charging speeds. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may support up to 40W of wired fast charging. Additionally, Apple may also provide an upgraded MagSafe wireless charging from 15W to 20W.
With only a few weeks left till the iPhone 16 series is official, we can expect to get even more details about the specs and design of the upcoming Apple smartphones.
