After ChatGPT and Perplexity announced their deep research tools, Anthropic has also launched its most advanced AI model yet called the Claude 3.7 Sonnet. This upgrade is not just another other upgrade, it is the company’s first hybrid reasoning model. The new reasoning model will allow the chatbot to provide faster responses and more thoughtful answers depending on the situation. The company in its blog said that the users can also control how much time the model spends thinking before it responds.
What makes Claude 3.7 Sonnet better and faster?
–Unlike previous AI models, Claude 3.7 Sonnet lets you decide whether you want quick answers or more detailed, step-by-step explanations.
– This model is best suited for coding and web development. It can handle complex codebases, fix bugs, and even generate full-stack solutions better than previous versions.
–Despite being more advanced, the pricing remains the same—$3 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens. This includes the cost of extended thinking mode.
–You can access it on all Claude plans, including Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise, as well as through platforms like Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud.
Claude Code
Along with 3.7 Sonnet, Anthrophic also announced Claude Claude Code, a new AI tool designed for developers. This tool is in a limited research preview but already shows promising results. Claude Code can:
-Read and edit code
–Write and run tests
–Commit and push code to GitHub
–Use command line tools
Early tests show it can complete complex coding tasks in a fraction of the time a human would take. Developers can now connect their GitHub repositories directly to Claude for a smoother workflow.
Anthropic has worked hard to make Claude 3.7 Sonnet safer and more reliable. Compared to older versions, it is 45% better at avoiding unnecessary refusals when answering tricky questions. It also has improved security features to reduce risks like prompt injection attacks.
