An all-glass iPhone, a home robot, its first foldable and more: Apple’s expected product line up for the next two years

Apple is gearing up for a major product overhaul over the next two years, with a foldable iPhone, a curved all-glass 20th anniversary model, AI-powered smart glasses, and a home robot featuring a personality-driven assistant

After a few years of iterative updates, Apple is reportedly preparing a major product revamp for 2027. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman calls the company’s roadmap a “product renaissance,” and if the details are accurate, Apple fans are in for a flood of innovation. Here’s what to expect.

A foldable iPhone arrives

Rumoured to debut alongside the iPhone 18 lineup in late 2026, Apple’s first foldable iPhone will lead the charge. Unlike current foldables like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, Apple’s take will reportedly boast a seamless, crease-free display and a titanium frame. Expect it to be priced as a premium device, reflecting its advanced materials and design philosophy.

A 20th anniversary ‘special’ iPhone

To mark two decades since the original iPhone, Apple is preparing a major redesign for 2027. Gurman describes it as “a mostly glass, curved iPhone – without any cutouts in the display.” That means no notch, no Dynamic Island—just uninterrupted screen real estate. Details are sparse, but the shift sounds like a bold aesthetic departure.

AI-powered smart glasses

Apple plans to enter the smart glasses space with a product designed to rival Meta’s Ray-Ban smart specs. Set for release by 2027, these glasses are expected to include cameras, microphones, and speakers, working in tandem with on-board Apple Silicon. Visual Intelligence features—like those already used in the iPhone’s camera system—are expected to power the experience.

Upgraded AirPods and Apple Watch with cameras

Apple also intends to push its AI capabilities into existing product lines. New AirPods and Apple Watch models are expected to ship with built-in cameras, enabling on-device AI recognition and interaction. This opens the door for features like gesture tracking, facial recognition, or environment-aware functionality.

A rebuilt Siri with LLM smarts

Apple’s long-struggling voice assistant may finally get its due. Gurman reports that by 2027, Siri will be rebuilt atop large language models (LLMs), enhancing conversational capabilities and contextual understanding. The upgrade will be powered by new Apple Silicon-based server chips, and the revamped Siri interface is expected to arrive in iOS 20.

Apple’s ‘first robot’

Rounding out the 2027 wave could be Apple’s debut in home robotics. The first product is described as a tabletop robot with a mechanical arm and a built-in AI assistant that has its own personality. It’ll rely on a delayed smart home hub expected to ship earlier that year, as per the report.

And beyond? Gurman hints that Apple may combine a foldable iPad and touchscreen Mac in 2028. Apple has always been very guarded about new products but Gurman is known to be accurate with his reports.
