Bharti Airtel has started adding another perk for its prepaid customers in India, free access to Apple Music. Some users have spotted the option inside the Airtel Thanks app, which suggests that the benefit is gradually rolling out. according to a report by Telecom Talk.

The offer gives prepaid users up to six months of Apple Music at no extra cost. Once the free period ends, the subscription automatically renews at Rs 119 per month. Airtel has not made an official announcement yet, so the exact eligibility rules are still unclear. However, reports indicate that the benefit is not limited to only high-value or unlimited 5G plans.

Until now, Apple Music access through Airtel was available only for broadband and postpaid customers. Extending it to prepaid users makes sense, given that this is the operator’s largest customer base. Users who want to check if they are eligible can simply log in to the Airtel Thanks app and look for the Apple Music banner.

This is not the first time Airtel has added digital services to its recharge packs. The company has been actively bundling entertainment and productivity platforms with its plans. Earlier this year, it introduced prepaid packs that include subscriptions to over 25 OTT platforms such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, and Lionsgate Play. These plans start at Rs 279 and go up to Rs 1,729, with varying validity and data benefits. Airtel says the bundles cover content in more than 16 Indian languages.

Beyond entertainment, Airtel also recently partnered with Perplexity AI to give customers free access to its premium Pro plan, which is valued at nearly Rs 17,000 annually. This service includes advanced AI tools, file uploads, and image generation.

Adding Apple Music to prepaid plans shows that Airtel is continuing to expand its digital partnerships. For many prepaid users who usually rely on free or ad-supported music apps, the six-month trial could be a good opportunity to try out Apple’s streaming service.

For now, the offer seems to be rolling out selectively, so prepaid users will need to check the Airtel Thanks app to see if it’s available for their account.
