In a surprising and hilarious turn of events, a video of Donald Trump crashing Chelsea's Club World Cup celebrations has gone viral from the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA. Trump accompanied FIFA chief Gianni Infantino to present Chelsea the trophy after the London club defeated European champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final.

However, unlike Infantino, Trump refused to walkout of the stage after the trophy was handed to Chelsea skipper Reece James. In fact the captain and the US President were momentarily engaged in a chat before James proceeded with the celebration while Trump stood by his side soaking the experience.

James was later asked about his chat with Trump. “To be honest it was quite loud. I couldn't hear too much. He just congratulated me and the team for lifting the trophy and told us to enjoy the moment,” he was quoted as saying by The Independent.

Cole Palmer played a big role in Chelsea's win, scoring twice in eight minutes in the first half. He earned the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament. "I knew he was going to be here but I didn't know he was going to be on the stand when we lifted the trophy. I was a bit confused, yeah," Palmer noted.

Meanwhile, Levi Colwill added: “They told me that he was going to present the trophy and then exit the stage, and I thought that he was going to exit the stage, but he wanted to stay.”
