For the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, athletes from every participating country will join a river parade. This procession will navigate a six-kilometre stretch of the Seine, moving from east to west. The parade will commence at the Austerlitz Bridge near the Jardin des Plantes, journeying around the two central islands of the city, Île Saint-Louis and Île de la Cité, before passing beneath several historic bridges and gateways.

The river parade is expected to feature up to 94 boats. Athletes on these boats will enjoy views of various official Games venues, including Parc Urbain La Concorde, the Esplanade des Invalides, the Grand Palais, and finally the Iéna Bridge, where the parade will conclude before the ceremony’s grand finale at the Trocadéro.
