Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag and his wife Aarti Ahlawat are reportedly separating after 20 years of marriage. A Hindustan Times report suggests that Sehwag and Aarti have unfollowed each other on social media platform Instagram, fueling the divorce rumours. Virender and Aarti have two kids together - Aryaveer (born in 2007) and Vedant (born in 2010). The report from HT also suggested that the couple who tied the knot in 2004 have been living separately for several months.

Sehwag's recent Diwali celebration post had his sons and mother in the pictures but there were no signs or mention of Aarti which has only added fuel to the rumours of separation.

Couple of weeks earlier, Sehwag visited the Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Palakkad and post from the trip contained no reference to Aarti. While both are yet to release an official statement, the couple's public distancing has become the hot topic of the town.

Details about Aarti

Aarti Ahlawat, a native of New Delhi, has generally kept a low profile. Born on December 16, 1980, she completed her schooling at Lady Irwin Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. She later earned a diploma in Computer Science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University.

Virender and Aarti's love story

The couple’s love story began in the early 2000s and culminated in a grand wedding in 2004, hosted at the residence of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Over the years, they have been regarded as a strong team, balancing Virender's cricketing career with their family life. However, sources suggest that their relationship has been strained for some time, ultimately leading to their decision to part ways.

Virender retired from international cricket in 2015 and has since taken on various roles, including serving as a member of the Anti-Doping Appeal Panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency. While he has largely kept his personal life private, recent developments have brought it under public scrutiny.
