Big names like Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, Matheesha Pathirana, Liam Livingstone, Ravi Bishnoi and Wanindu Hasaranga are among the 45 players that have listed themselves at the maximum reserve price of Rs 2 crore in the upcoming IPL 2026 mini-auction.

As per ESPNcricinfo, a total of 1,355 players will feature in the long list of players. Monday (November 30) was the deadline for the list. A total of 77 slots remain available in all ten franchises combined. A single team is allowed to keep 25 players. Out of the 77 slots available, 31 are for overseas players.

Once the IPL receives the wishlists of franchises, they will shorten the list and the auction will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. December 5 is the deadline for franchises to submit their shortlist.

Kolkata Knight Riders (Rs 64.3 crore remaining purse) and Chennai Super Kings (Rs 43.4 crore purse) will the teams in action mostly during the auction. Australia's Cameron Green who missed the 2025 mega-auction due to a back injury has now returned to the scene and is likely to attract the biggest bid.

After Andre Russell announcing his IPL retirement, KKR look like a team that could certainly make a strong push for Green. Simply put, Green's ability to play almost anywhere in the batting order, bowl seam-up, and make a valuable contribution in the field makes him the ideal one.

In a major surprise, Glenn Maxwell's name is missing from the list as per the report. He was signed for Rs 4.2 crore in the 2025 season by Punjab Kings but was replaced by Mitchell Owen who has been retained the runners-up of last season. Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali have chosen to take part in the Pakistan Super League instead of coming back to the IPL.
