The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the first phase schedule of IPL 2026, with matches set to be played from March 28 to April 12, 2026. This phase includes the first 20 matches of the tournament, while the remaining fixtures will be released later due to ongoing state election considerations. The season will kick off with a blockbuster opener between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 in Bengaluru, setting the tone for the tournament.

Ten teams are set to battle for supremacy in another thrilling edition of the Indian Premier League 2026, expected to feature around 74 high-intensity matches, including the playoffs - Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final. The tournament is likely to follow its traditional window, running between March and May 2026, keeping fans hooked with daily action.

Iconic venues such as Wankhede Stadium, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, Eden Gardens, Narendra Modi Stadium, and MA Chidambaram Stadium are expected to host matches, offering a mix of batting-friendly pitches and spin-friendly conditions.
