As the Indian cricket team arrived in the national capital in the early hours of Thursday, even a light drizzle couldn't deter fans from gathering at the airport to welcome them.

There was dancing, there were multiple cakes, and there were fans on streets showing just why cricket is the most passionately followed sport in the country. The weary players joined in the fun after arriving at the hotel from airport to complete the party atmosphere.

Upon reaching the team hotel from the airport, Rohit Sharma and his teammates were greeted by a dance troupe at the entrance. The joy of winning the T20 World Cup was palpable, with Rohit himself joining in the dancing for a while.

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, known for their agility on the field, couldn't resist joining in with some dance moves, celebrating their victory with enthusiasm. Suryakumar Yadav, who took a spectacular catch in the final, enthusiastically danced to some bhangra beats.

Hardik Pandya, who bowled the crucial last over in the final, also showed off his dance skills, while Virat Kohli, who played a match-winning innings, smiled as he passed by the all-rounder.

Following their arrival, the Indian cricket team met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before heading to Mumbai for an open bus parade along Marine Drive, from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium.
