Suryakumar Yadav and Co. along with the support staff will be handed a bumper cash prize of Rs 21 crore by the BCCI for their Asia Cup triumph. India engaged in a thrilling finale against arch-rivals Pakistan and ensured the perfect record in the tournament against Salman Ali Agha and his troop remain intact. At the end India won the nail-biter by five wickets.
"Three blows. 0 response. Asia Cup Champions. Message delivered. (Rs) 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff," the BCCI posted on X, referring to India's three wins against Pakistan during the course of the tournament.

Interestingly, the amount announced by the BCCI is almost 10-times more which were handed out to the winners of the continental showdown. As reported earlier, the winners of the continental showdown were set to take home a whopping prize money of Rs 2.6 crore, which is a 50 percent increase from the previous edition in 2022. The runners-up, in this case Pakistan, were awarded Rs 1.3 crore.
"It was (an) extraordinary victory and therefore as a part of celebrations, BCCI has announced a cash award of ₹21 crore in favour of the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup," BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia also told PTI following the clash.
The body, however, did not share details of the exact break-up of the fund. "That money will be distributed and this is a big reward for our team and the Indian cricket board as well as the people of India. We are extremely proud of our cricketers and the support staff for their superb performance in Dubai," Saikia added.
