This includes the recitation of nearly 2000 mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda Madhyandini branch with complete accuracy, discipline and devotion. His remarkable achievement is being celebrated across India and is considered a proud moment for followers of Vedic tradition.
Recognition and Blessings from Sringeri Math
As reported by Sringeri Math, the Parayanam was completed at Vallabharam Shaligram Sangved Vidyalaya from 2 October to 30 November. This achievement has been accomplished in its pure classical form after almost 200 years. For this milestone, Devavrat was honoured with a golden bracelet worth Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 1,11,116 in cash. He also received the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharyas of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also represents Kashi in the Parliament, appreciated Devavrat’s dedication. He said that every person who loves Indian culture feels proud of his extraordinary accomplishment. His father is the chief examiner of the Shukla Yajurveda Madhyandina Shakha exams conducted by the Veda Poshaka Sabha of Sringeri Peetham.
