Thousands of devotees visited Ayodhya to witness the sacred 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, marking a significant moment in India’s spiritual and cultural journey. The consecration of idols on the temple’s first floor drew pilgrims from across the country and beyond, including neighbouring Nepal.
The auspicious day also coincided with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s 53rd birthday. Marking the occasion, he visited the temple and took part in the rituals, which included the consecration of idols depicting Lord Ram seated on his throne with Sita, flanked by his brothers Bharat, Laxman, and Shatrughan, along with Lord Hanuman. The ceremony was performed as per Vedic traditions.
Extending his wishes to devotees, CM Yogi offered prayers and participated in the aarti at the temple. Later, addressing a gathering at Pushpavatika, he said, “India’s honour has been restored in Ayodhya through the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I extend heartfelt congratulations to the people of Ayodhya, the state, and followers of Sanatan Dharma across the globe.”
The Chief Minister also visited the historic Hanuman Garhi temple and other temples near the Ram Darbar as part of the day’s religious observances.
The final day of the three-day Pran Pratishtha event began with morning prayers to the invoked deities at 6:30 AM, followed by a hawan that started at 9 AM. Present during the rituals were Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, along with General Secretary Champat Rai, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, and several other saints and dignitaries.
