Bhuvaneshwari Jayanti Puja Vidhi

On this day, devotees wake up early, take a holy bath, and worship Goddess Bhuvaneshwari with devotion. Offerings of flowers, fruits, grains, vegetables, and roots are made during puja. Chanting Her mantras and reciting Devi Bhagwat Katha are considered highly auspicious.

The Mahanirvana Tantra describes that seven crore mantras remain absorbed in Her worship, and even the greatest scholars bow before the Goddess.

Bhuvaneshwari Jayanti Katha

According to the Devi Bhagwat Purana, once a demon named Durgamasura troubled the gods and Brahmins with his atrocities. Distressed, the deities prayed to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari on the Himalayas.

The compassionate Goddess appeared, carrying arrows, lotus, vegetables, and roots. She shed tears that turned into countless streams and rivers, quenching the thirst of all beings and reviving vegetation. She then fought and defeated Durgamasura, restoring peace to the heavens. After this victory, Goddess Bhuvaneshwari came to be worshipped as Durga, symbolizing the destroyer of evil and protector of dharma.

Bhuvaneshwari Jayanti 2025 is a day of immense spiritual importance. Devotees honor Goddess Bhuvaneshwari not only as the presiding deity of creation but also as the compassionate Mother who protects, nurtures, and blesses Her children. Observing this day with faith brings prosperity, happiness, and spiritual strength.
