U.S Vice President Kamala Harris' post on X about Venezuela election was condemned by several users on Monday.
The post stated that the will of the Venezuelan people must be respected, as the opposition had been claiming irregularities following the declaration of incumbent President Nicolás Maduro as the winner.
"The United States stands with the people of Venezuela who expressed their voice in today’s historic presidential election. The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected. Despite the many challenges, we will continue to work toward a more democratic, prosperous, and secure future for the people of Venezuela", Harris stated in the post on X.

Harris' message didn't go down well with several users on the microblogging site who raised question whether she was supporting Maduro.
A user commented, "Kamala Harris - the Dem nominee who received zero votes - is lecturing Venezuela about democracy"?. Another user asked why the vice president chose to speak on Venezuelan election and skipped her views on death of twelve children in Israel in a recent strike.
"Where’s your post about the 12 children killed in Israel?"
Another one noted, "Reimpose sanctions. Your administration lifted them. You released Maduro's nephews from prison. You released terrorist financier Alex Saab from U.S. custody. Actions. Not words."
Notably, Maduro and his opposition rival Edmundo Gonzalez have both claimed victory in the presidential election as Washington and some other foreign governments cast doubt on official results that gave the incumbent a win.
The national electoral authority said just after midnight that Maduro had won a third term with 51% of the vote - a result that would extend a quarter-century of socialist rule.
