Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky urges Ukraine's allies to speed up deliveries of warplanes and air defence systems following a deadly Russian strike on the city of Kharkiv.

"Bolstering Ukraine's air defence and expediting the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine are vital tasks. There are no rational explanations for why Patriots, which are plentiful around the world, are still not covering the skies of Kharkiv and other cities," Zelensky said in a post on social media.

A Russian strike on the eastern Ukraine city of Kharkiv killed one person and wounded 16 more, the regional governor announced on social media.

Governor Oleg Sinegubov gave the toll in a series of posts on Telegram and said Russia had launched a guided missile at the city that has suffered routine bombardments since the Russian invasion in February 2022.

Delhi Minister Atishi says, "The ED, which has been investigating for two years, had no answers to the questions of Arvind Kejriwal's lawyers and the Delhi High Court today, so they sought time from the court. Delhi High Court has also raised questions on the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. The High Court has clearly stated this in its order. It is written that the Court is of the opinion that the present petition raises several issues of legality and validity regarding the arrest and remand of the petitioner Arvind Kejriwal. Additionally, we question whether the arrest may be politically motivated and malafide. We also welcome the fact that the Delhi High Court has given only one week's time to the ED to file its reply."

Synergy Marine Group statement says:

All crew members and two pilots aboard the vessel "DALI" are confirmed safe by Synergy Marine Group.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health deteriorated in ED custody. His sugar level dropped to 46: AAP sources.

India on Wednesday summoned a senior US diplomat and lodged a strong protest against a US state department official's remarks on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Ministry of External Affairs officials summoned the Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Gloria Berbena at its office in South Block here. The meeting lasted for more than 30 minutes.

Reports had it that a US state department official had said that Washington "encouraged a fair, transparent and timely legal process for chief minister Kejriwal".

As CM Arvind Kejriwal expresses concern for the health service of Delhi's people from ED custody, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya says, "Today he (Arvind Kejriwal) has to worry about the health of people of Delhi, but there is no implementation of 'Ayushman Bharat' in the Capital...They should increase the number of beds in the hospital; the immunisation of the children of Delhi is less compared to others, discuss that as well. The performance of Delhi is very poor in the TB elimination programme, which is underway across India...In the National Capital, for the last many years, the number of medical colleges has not transcended and so as the medical seats. The attempts that are made by him (Arvind Kejriwal) to gain sympathy will not be successful...."

Court says it will pass an order at 4 PM and upload it on the website. The judge made the statement after an argument erupted between the lawyers over ED seeking time to file a response. However since ED has not argued yet, the court is unlikely to pass a final order in the case.

ASG Raju: “We wrote to them and asked for a copy, nothing prevented them from giving a copy of the petition subject to objections.”

Court says it’s inclined to issue to notice now and ask ED to file a reply, as the petition was served to ED only on Tuesday afternoon.

However Kejriwal’s lawyers say they have been served and a reasonable time has been given to ED to file a response.

ASG Raju: “I am entitled to file a response to both the main petition and the interim plea. I cannot be deprived of the right. The copy is given to me in the last minute and they say the petition had objections.”

Court says only one senior counsel can argue per petitioner. ASG Raju now begins arguing the case.

Senior advocate Amit Desai now appears for Kejriwal, however ASG Raju objects to more than one lawyer appearing for Kejriwal.

Singhvi “This is a matter where democracy is involved, basic structure is involved, level playing field is involved. Even a few hours is far too long if the arrest is illegal.”

The Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi summoned the US' Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Gloria Berbena, today. The meeting lasted for approximately 40 minutes.

According to Singhvi exculpatory 4 statements made in Kejriwal’s favour were classified by ED as unreliable. However two statements made against him in 2023 is given weight to arrest him.

Singhvi “have never seen these 5 steps happening in natural procedure much less the special statutes. The five or four steps are; i record the statement. There is nothing against me in that step. Frequently there are few more statements recorded. In Sanjay Singh nine statements were recorded and there was nothing against me. There is no corroboration of evidence against Kejriwal.”

Singhvi also raises questions on how a person can be arrested for non-cooperation with enquiry. He says it will be unconstitutional. Here custodial interrogation is based on non-cooperation .

Singhvi: “ED has doubts about my role in the Delhi excise scam. However in the cusp of the election and after the imposition of Model code of conduct has been imposed they arrest Kejriwal.”
