The Supreme Court has set up a National Task Force to ensure the safety of doctors and asked them to file an interim report within three weeks. Two days after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) called applications for lateral entry into the government service, the Centre on August 20 rolled back the decision, the first such instance in the Modi 3.0 government.
