On the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, several actors and directors from the Malayalam film industry took to social media to share an image of the Preamble to the Constitution of India to protest the "politicisation" of the event.
Actors Parvathy Thiruvothu, Rima Kallingal, Divya Prabha, Kani Kusruti, directors Jeo Baby, Aashiq Abu, Kamal KM, and singer Sooraj Santhosh put up a unified front in sharing the message of unity in diversity.

The Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration has been considered the culmination of the BJP and Sangh Parivar’s Ram Janmabhoomi campaign, which witnessed the demolition of the 16th century mosque Babri Masjid which was built on the ruins of a Hindu temple.

PM Modi also thanked the judiciary that paved the way for the construction of the temple. "Even after the Constitution came into existence, the legal battle was fought for decades on Lord Ram's existence. I would like to the thank judiciary that delivered justice and Lord Ram's temple was built," Modi said.
