US President Donald Trump slammed Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance as 'terrible', calling it 'one of the worst ever' in the American event's history. Trump’s remark came after the Super Bowl performance at Levi’s Stadium, where Bad Bunny aimed to bring people together. Trump’s comment on his Truth Social has sparked discussion over the cultural and political impact of the performance.
What Trump wrote on his Truth Social
In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticised the show, writing, "The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence (sic)."
Trump went on to criticise the performance style and content, fueling debate over whether the halftime show’s entertainment was appropriate.
Trump continued, "Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World (sic)."
His comments reflected a wider backlash from a segment of the audience unhappy with a largely Spanish-language performance at the Super Bowl. "This 'Show' is just a 'slap in the face' to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day - including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History," he said.

Trump reportedly did not watch Bad Bunny’s performance, amid the artist’s prior political comments and criticism of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
Calling the Super Bowl show a mess, Trump wrote, "There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD - and, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule (sic)." "Make America Great Again," he concluded.
